Terms of Use

BOUCH is a trading name of Paul Boucherat, based in the East Midlands, United Kingdom. These terms cover the website at bouch.dev and the hosted uk-agents MCP servers operated by BOUCH, including the UK Legal MCP server and the UK Due Diligence MCP server. The source code of those servers is separately licensed under the MIT License; these terms govern the hosted services, not the code. Contact: paul@bouch.dev.

The uk-agents servers provide read-only, programmatic access to UK public sources — Companies House, the Charity Commission, The Gazette, HM Land Registry, HMRC's VAT register, legislation.gov.uk, Parliament — and to published OFSI, OFAC, EU, and UN consolidated sanctions lists, via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). They are provided free of charge, without registration.

You agree to use the services lawfully and for their intended purpose — lookups against public registers and sources; to respect rate limits (we may throttle or block clients whose usage degrades the service for others); and not to attempt unauthorised access to the services or their infrastructure.

All results come from official sources, which remain the authoritative record. Data is subject to those sources' own terms and licences, including the Open Government Licence and the Companies House and HMRC API terms of use. We do not alter source data, but we make no guarantee that results are complete, current, or error-free — registers lag reality, and upstream services have outages.

The services are not professional advice. A search result — including a sanctions screen returning no matches, or a VAT number validating — is a signal, not a conclusion. Verify significant findings against the primary source before acting on them, and take professional advice where the decision warrants it.

The services are independent. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by HMRC, Companies House, or any other government body.

The services are provided “as is”, with no warranty and no service-level commitment. They may change or be withdrawn at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BOUCH accepts no liability for losses arising from use of the services, including losses caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or unavailable data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms; the current version is always published at this URL with its date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
