P6 Schedule Health Check
Upload an XER. Get a health score.
Requires the PyP6Xer MCP server
A Claude skill that audits Primavera P6 XER schedule files and produces a structured health report. Critical path, float distribution, logic quality, slipping activities, and an overall health score out of 100.
The problem
You receive a contractor's programme as an XER file. To check if it is credible, you need to review the critical path, check for missing logic, look at float distribution, and flag slipping activities. In P6 that means clicking through dozens of screens. Most people just look at the Gantt chart and hope for the best.
What it does
Features
- Overall health score (0-100) with Healthy/Caution/At Risk/Critical rating
- Critical path analysis: count, percentage, continuity check
- Float distribution: negative, zero, near-critical, and healthy ranges
- Logic quality: missing predecessors, missing successors, open ends
- Slipping activities: forecast vs baseline, average and maximum slip
- Long duration activities flagged for breakdown
- Prioritised recommendations: what to fix first and why
